About Journal

The Review of International Affairs (RIA) is an open-access scientific journal (ISSN 0486-6096, ISSN online 2955-9030) published in the English language, and printed three times per year. The publisher of this journal is the Institute of International Politics and Economics, Belgrade, Serbia, while the publishing is financially supported by the Serbian Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation.

RIA is one of the oldest and best-known periodicals in the Balkans that covers research in International Studies. Today’s journal format was introduced in 2005, and since then it has maintained a similar form. RIA supports publishing primarily original and review articles, and analyses, and at the same time, it publishes lectures given by foreign ambassadors at the IIPE’s Ambassadorial Forum and book reviews.

RIA publishes papers that have current and important topics dealing with international politics, economics, and law issues in the Balkan regional context. Aside from the Balkan-related issues, we are welcoming papers and analyses on other regional studies as well. However, this focus thus does not presuppose limitations for articles, studies, and comments on other relevant and current international topics. All published articles are two times peer-reviewed and comply with good international practices and standards in scientific research.

The Review of International Affairs is included in DOAJ, EBSCO, ERIH Plus, CEEOL and COBISS+ databases. The latest categorization of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation (MSTDI) of the Republic of Serbia valued it as M24. The journal is deposited in the repository of the National Library of Serbia, and that complies with the regulations of the Serbian MSTDI. RIA is open access journal, and there are no hidden costs associated with publishing in this journal.
