Dr. Danilo Babić
Danilo Babić is a Research Associate at the Institute of International Politics and Economics in Belgrade, since December 2019. He completed his undergraduate studies in International and European Economics and Business at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, and obtained his MA and PhD at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. His research focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa, postcolonial studies, development economics, international politics, and the role of global actors in shaping African development trajectories. His major publications include The Scramble for Sub-Saharan Africa in the 20th and 21st Century (2024), Political Thought in Sub-Saharan Africa from Liberation to the Present (2026), and articles on EU-Sub-Saharan Africa relations, China and India's role in Africa, and East Africa amid China-US tensions. He has also participated in the COST Action "Decolonising Development: Research, Teaching, and Practice" (2020-2024).

Deputy Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Katarina Zakić
Dr. Katarina Zakić has been the Head of the Centre for China Studies at the Institute of International Politics and Economics (IIPE) since August 2021, having first joined the institute in September 2018. She previously served as Editor-in-Chief (2020-2024) and Deputy Editor-in-Chief (2019-2020) of the journal The Review of International Affairs. Dr. Zakić has published more than 40 scientific articles and is the author of Contemporary Management Practice in China and Serbia, as well as the co-author of Economic Rise of China – Strategy and Dynamics of International Relations. At the Centre, she oversees key international conferences, including "Dialogues on China" and "Discussions, Narratives, Analysis" (DNA). Her core expertise spans the international economy, foreign direct investment, green energy, and China's Belt and Road Initiative.

Secretary
Pavle NEDIĆ, MA
Pavle Nedić joined the Institute of International Politics and Economics in March 2021. The areas of his academic interest are international relations theories, international security and great power relations. He is a PhD student of International and European Studies at the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade. At the same faculty, Pavle finished his undergraduate studies in international relations and master studies in international security. The subject of his master’s thesis is Balancing of the American power after the Ukrainian crisis: a case study relationship between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China. Pavle has authored several articles published in scientific journals and has participated in numerous scientific conferences, gatherings and seminars.
